JOHN RATTACASA IS THE OWNER AND CREATIVE DIRECTOR OF RATT HAUS FX

 

Hi, My name is John Rattacasa. In 2010 I had an opportunity to work a local haunted trail for the 'Changing Our World' organization. The objective was to raise money for a local student in need of a very important heart surgery. So with a lick and a promise I created 40 ghosts, ghouls, and zombies in just under two hours, and raised $2,500. The next day my name and our little haunted walk through made the news paper in little old Washington Township, NJ. Soon after, my career choices would change forever, taking me into the fun and exciting world of Special Make-Up Effects. In 2011 auditioned to be a haunt actor at "Creamy Acres: Night OF Terror", New Jersey's Premier Haunted Attraction, located in Mullica Hill, NJ. After my audition I handed the owner, and audition holders my then, very tiny portfolio, and a small article about a 16 year old kid from Washington Township, who made some creatures for a local fundraiser. I was hired as an actor, and soon after, a make-up effects artist. From September 28th to November 5th, I had the greatest time of my life. I was with 3 other make-up artists and the 4 of us got to do almost 200 make-ups a night. Soon the season ended, and it was my senior year of high school. I decided to pursue my love of Make-Up Effects, and found the Tom Savini's Special Make-Up Effects Program. Thanks to this program, I am now a well versed, knowledgeable, and creative Special Make-Up Effects Artist, ready to start his career, and hopefully change and revolutionize the Movie Make-Up industry forever!
